Google Ads management services that increase leads and revenue.
Most advertisers lose a quarter of their budget to searches that were never going to convert. The money leaves the account in small amounts, across thousands of clicks, and no report flags it. Rank The Web finds that spend, stops it, and puts it behind the keywords producing leads and revenue. You keep the account, the data, and the freedom to leave.
Is your Google Ads account quietly losing money?
Five patterns cover most underperforming accounts. Any one of them is worth an audit.
Your results plateaued, and nobody can explain why
Leads arrive at the same rate every month, the cost per lead creeps up, and your monthly report shows impressions climbing. Nobody has restructured the account since it launched.
Every attempt to scale spend kills your ROI
You raise the budget by 30% and your cost per conversion jumps 60%. That usually means your campaigns are already buying the cheapest available conversions, and the extra budget goes to broader, colder searches.
Google keeps recommending changes that cost you more
The recommendations tab pushes broad match, automated bidding, and higher daily budgets. Some of those help. Applied together on an account without clean conversion data, they hand Google control of a budget it optimises toward its own volume targets.
Your conversions look good in Google Ads and do not match your sales
Google Ads reports 80 conversions. Your CRM shows 31 enquiries. Usually the tag is firing on page loads, counting the same lead twice, or recording newsletter signups alongside sales calls. Google's bidding algorithm then optimises toward those phantom conversions.
You cannot tell which keywords produce revenue
Your account reports conversions at the campaign level. It does not tell you that three keywords generate 70% of your revenue and forty of them have never produced a sale.
Find out which of these applies to your account.
Google Ads results we have delivered.
Jewellery store, UK
£128,796 in revenue from £10,741 in ad spend, a return of 11.99x.
Search carried this account. £1,001 of spend returned £68,966 in revenue at £1.67 per purchase, while Performance Max needed £8,349 to produce £54,722 at £18.33 per purchase. We kept the budget weighted toward the campaigns buying conversions at a tenth of the cost. We lifted the Search budget to its ceiling, applied brand exclusions to Performance Max so it stopped bidding on searches Search already won, and let PMax compete for what remained.

What's included in our Google Ads management services.
Account audit and wasted-spend analysis
We pull 12 months of search terms, map spend against conversions, and quantify what your account spent on searches that could never convert. You see the number before you hire us.
Campaign structure and account restructuring
Most accounts we inherit have campaigns built around what was easy to set up. We rebuild around what you sell and what margin each line carries, so budget decisions happen at the level where they matter.
Keyword research, match types and negative keywords
We research the terms your buyers use at each stage, choose match types that keep your traffic relevant, and build negative keyword lists that grow every week. We review search terms weekly, because the list of things people typed to reach you is where recoverable budget shows up first.
Ad copywriting and creative testing
Headlines and descriptions written to qualify as well as attract, so price-shoppers and job-seekers stop clicking your ads. We test in rotation and keep the winners running.
Bid strategy and budget pacing
Manual control where the data is thin, automated bidding once your conversion volume supports it. We watch pacing so your budget lasts the month and does not disappear by the 18th.
Conversion tracking and attribution setup
We audit every tag, deduplicate conversion actions, separate real enquiries from soft actions, and connect offline sales back to the campaigns that produced them. We do this in the first two weeks, before touching bids or structure.
Landing page and conversion rate optimisation
Your ad wins the click and your landing page decides whether it becomes a lead. We review form length, page speed, message match, and mobile behaviour, then test the changes worth testing.
Search term review and ongoing optimisation
Weekly review of what people typed to reach you, with new negatives added and new opportunities promoted into their own ad groups.
Reporting tied to leads and revenue
Monthly reporting showing conversions, cost per conversion, revenue, and the work we shipped. Impressions and click-through rate appear as diagnostics, never as headline results.
Campaign types we manage.
| Campaign type | Best for | What we optimise |
|---|---|---|
| Search | High-intent lead generation and direct response | Keywords, negatives, ad copy, Quality Score |
| Shopping | Ecommerce catalogs | Feed quality, Merchant Center health, product groups |
| Performance Max | Ecommerce and multi-channel reach | Asset groups, audience signals, feed and placement control |
| Display and remarketing | Re-engaging past visitors | Placements, exclusions, frequency caps |
| YouTube and Demand Gen | Demand creation and awareness | Creative, audience targeting, view-through measurement |
| Local Services Ads | Home and local service businesses | Verification, review volume, lead disputes |
Google Ads pricing: what you pay us and what you pay Google.
New advertisers often assume one payment covers both. Your management fee and your ad budget are separate invoices going to different places.
| Goes to | Range | What it buys | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Management fee | Rank The Web | $250 to $500 / month | Strategy, build, optimisation, tracking, reporting |
| Ad spend | You set it | Your clicks and impressions |
Our management fee
We charge a flat monthly fee based on account complexity and the hours your account needs. Most agencies charge a percentage of ad spend, which pays them more when you spend more. A flat fee removes that incentive, so when we tell you to cut a campaign, our invoice does not shrink.
Minimum ad spend
We work with accounts spending ₹1,00,000 or $1,000 per month or more. Below that, management fees take too large a share of your budget and you would get better returns spending the money on the ads themselves.
What changes the fee
- Number of campaigns and the platforms involved
- Whether you need Shopping feed work and Merchant Center management
- Landing page and creative production
- Volume of conversion tracking work at the start
- Number of locations, markets or languages
Who we work with.
Ecommerce brands
Shopping, Performance Max, and feed management, measured against ROAS and contribution margin. We work alongside your SEO so the two channels stop bidding against each other.
Local and home service businesses
Search and Local Services Ads built around call volume and booked jobs. Call tracking goes in before anything else, since most of your conversions arrive by phone.
B2B and lead generation
Long sales cycles, low conversion volume, and a gap between a form fill and a signed contract. We connect your CRM stages back to Google Ads so bidding optimises toward qualified pipeline.
Who we are not right for
- Accounts below our minimum spend
- Businesses wanting a guaranteed cost per lead
- Anyone who needs results inside three weeks — paid search moves faster than SEO, and it still needs a month of clean data before the optimisation gets good
How we work with you.
You own the account
We work inside your Google Ads account, not a sub-account of ours. Your ad history, conversion data, and audience lists belong to you while we work together and after we stop.
What happens if you leave
You keep everything. We hand over access, document what we built and why, and give your next team a written summary of the account structure. Ask any agency you speak to whether the account will be in your name.
No lock-in contracts
Month to month. If the work stops producing, you leave without a penalty clause.
Who works on your account
The person who audits your account is the person who manages it. We cap how many accounts each manager runs, which limits how many clients we take and keeps the work hands-on.
Our Google Ads management process.
Audit and wasted-spend report
We review your account structure, conversion tracking, search terms, and competitors, then show you what your budget bought over the last 12 months. You get this before you commit to anything.
Tracking, restructure, and launch
We fix conversion tracking first, then rebuild the account structure, write new ads, and set bidding. Existing winners keep running while we build around them.
Testing and scaling
We expand the campaigns that convert, cut the ones that do not, and scale budget in steps small enough to keep your cost per conversion stable.
Strategy review
We reassess the whole account against your business goals, present what changed, and agree the next quarter's plan.
Where we stand on Performance Max and Google's automation.
Google will keep recommending that you move budget into Performance Max. Across the accounts we manage, Search buys conversions between 10 and 14 times cheaper than Performance Max does in the same account, on the same products, in the same month.
What the numbers look like in real accounts
| Account | Search cost per conversion | Performance Max cost per conversion |
|---|---|---|
| Jewellery store, UK | £1.67 | £18.33 |
| Skincare brand, India | ₹17.80 | ₹242.84 |
| Ecommerce brand, India | ₹14.44 per transaction | ₹97.90 per transaction |
In the UK jewellery account, Search took 9% of the budget and produced 53% of the revenue. In the Indian ecommerce account, Search took 10% of the spend and produced 61% of the revenue. Google's own recommendations pointed the other way in both.
What you get in reporting.
Leads, sales and cost per conversion
Segmented by campaign and by the products or services that produced them.
ROAS and profit
For ecommerce accounts, we report against margin where you can share it, so a campaign selling volume below cost shows up as the problem it is.
What we changed this month
Every adjustment we made, what we expect from it, and what we plan next.
Google Ads or SEO: which should you run first?
When paid search makes more sense
You need leads this quarter, you are testing a new product or market, or your site is too new to rank for anything competitive. Paid search buys immediate visibility and stops the day you stop paying.
When organic makes more sense
Your margins cannot absorb the cost per click in your category, or you sell something people research for weeks before buying. Organic rankings compound and keep working after the invoice stops.
Running both together
Most businesses get the best return from both. Paid search shows you within weeks which keywords convert, which tells your SEO team what to target. Organic rankings then reduce how much you need to bid on those same terms. We run both, so the two plans get built once instead of twice.
What is PPC and how does Google Ads work?
PPC, or pay-per-click, is an advertising model where you bid for placement in search results and pay only when someone clicks your ad. Google Ads is the largest PPC platform, covering Search, Shopping, Display, YouTube, and the Google partner network.
